Miley Cyrus receives her star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She wore wore a dress by Atelier Versace from the fashion house’s fall 2015 collection.

Cyrus’s fiancé, Maxx Morando, her mother, Tish, and her friend, Anya Taylor-Joy were also there.

Miley tells, "To my family, my future family, parents, my mom, my siblings, my friends, my collaborators, thank you for loving and supporting not only the choices that I make, but my fears, and then facing them with me".

"Today is something that I’ll never forget and I’m always going to cherish. I love you all so much, thank you."

In her speech, Miley also mentioned about Donatella, "My name is laid in gold and pink terrazzo, and it’s fierce, and it’s fun, and it’s fabulous. And I’m in Versace hand-picked from the atelier archives by Donatella herself, which makes it even more fun, and even more fierce and even more fabulous."

Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was not there, but Miley did mention him, "My dad used to say that a skyscraper starts with a jackhammer — so does a star on the Walk of Fame by the way — and it’s not about the force, but it’s about the repetition,” she said. “What feels so special to me about this star is that it’s an accumulation of devotion."

Miley tells, "My hope is what I leave behind continues to affect the hearts of generations to come".

Miley is officially set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 22. The event will take place on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said Cyrus earned the recognition through both longevity and cultural impact. 

Martinez said in a statement, "Miley deserves her flowers as she has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. Generations of young girls have grown up watching her evolve, finding inspiration in her journey and fearless creativity."

According to an insider, the singer doesn't feel comfortable performing a song celebrating the country in light of President Trump recent actions.

In 2016, Miley posted emotional messages on social media saying she was upset about Trump’s rise in politics and even said she might leave the country if he became president.

She later clarified that she would stay in the U.S. because she wanted her “voice to be heard” rather than leave.

After Trump won the 2016 election, she posted a tearful video saying she accepted him as president even though she strongly disagreed with him politically.

At the January 2026 Golden Globes, Jacob Elordi, reportedly asked Miley Cyrus out to dinner. Cyrus, who was accompanied by her mother, gracefully declined the invitation.
